Welcome to Notton House Special School
Serving Bristol and the South West
'Providing Young People with a Future'

Notton House School is a residential school for boys aged 9-16 who display a range of emotional, social and / or behavioural problems (B.S.E.D). The boys in the main are able bodied and of average or above average academic potential.
An increasing number of pupils also present a range of other specific learning difficulties. Their very special and complex needs are met by an experienced, well qualified staff team which comprises of teachers, learning support assistants, care workers, administration and other support staff.
The pupils at Notton are predominantly from Bristol. The school's location enables us to provide care and education for them away from the home and community stresses that prevent them from accessing mainstream schooling. Recent changes in our referral patterns means that over a third of our pupils are from other authorities.
The school's mission statement: 'Providing Young People with a Future' reflects our effort to 'level the playing field' for these children.
